One of the first things that I learned how to make were these dangle earrings. I learned how to make these earrings by examining a pair of earrings that I already had. I was surprised at how easy it was to make them and what very little materials I needed. To practice you can take apart a pair of earrings that you no longer use.
Below is a list of materials that you will need to get started. You can find all materials at your local hobby/craft store and some department stores have a bead aisle.
Materials:
Head pins or Eye pins
Ear wires
Beads
Round nose pliers
If you are a beginner, I recommend that you have extra head pins just in case so that you can practice until you get it right. Like I said they are so easy to make I’m positive you will get the hang of it right away.
Head pins are available in different sizes and thickness. I like to use 22 or 24 gauge 2 inch head pins because they are easy to bend and work with.
Instructions:
First Step, on a head pin add the beads of your choice. I used silver color sead beads as spacers. Make sure to leave enough space to bend your head pin.
Second Step, with your round nose pliers bend the head pin at a 90-degree angle or bend away from you.
Third Step, position the pliers on top near the angle so that you are able to make a loop, bending the head pin towards you. Cut the excess wire, if you need to, to close the loop.
Last and final step, add your finished dangle to an ear wire.
Now repeat these instructions to make the other pair.
Congratulations! You have just made your first pair of earrings.
